Because here's one for $10,000.

It's heavily modified, though not all of it is bad. The steering wheel and shift ball are the worst bits, followed by the hood with the extra power bulge. They are bad because they are tacky-looking, not because they impact performance. Still, those three items will have to go and getting rid of the hood won't be cheap. Assuming the thing drives well, though, it's a good price for what the car is. It has less miles than mine! And it's cleaner! The engine was built by a reputable shop within the Corvette community, so this isn't "somebody else's project car." This thing will haul ass.

Definitely not DD material.

If that doesn't float your boat, there's also !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with a significantly less impressive - but still good - price of $16,000.

I think this is one of the best NP's of all time. Jesus.

It's not the worst , I just prefer the flatter stealth-fighter look the stock one gives you.

OMG WANT! Corvettes don't really do it for me unless they're special, this does it for me.

Did you see the one I posted yesterday ? It's even more special than this one, if not quite as fast.

I did. But this one doesn't have pushrods. A Corvette without pushrods sounds like a wonderful thing. And pushrods bore the crap out of me. I don't care if a pushrod motor makes twice as much power, there just isn't enough going on inside to keep me interested.

It's like dating a supermodel. She might be great to look at and amazing in bed, but she can't really carry an intelligent conversation. Chances are I will have to open that engine up at some point and I might as well have fun doing it.

I dunno, I'd consider that twin-turbo setup the same level of interesting as this DOHC setup.

Since I already have a ZR-1, though, I suppose I'm just drawn to the thing that is different. :p

I would say the turbos are close. But older cars with "factory" turbos were more of a headache than a huge performance boost.

Buy the Callaway anyways? Then you can have both and let us all know which one is better. And we will all be super jealous.

Ha, neither money nor space for it. :(

It's also too nice for me. My ZR-1 is a little beaten on, which is one of the reasons why I got it; I can wail on it and not feel guilty!

I do the same thing! Buy slightly beaten cars so I don't have to worry about them.
